The Barn at South Milton has been open for nearly eight years, and in that time has hosted over a hundred and twenty stunningly beautiful weddings.

 

Paul and Paula moved to Devon with their family in 2010 looking for a new way of life. After both leaving corporate jobs, they embarked on an exciting and challenging journey of setting up a brand new wedding venue, overlooking the sea in glorious South Devon.

 

Unbelievably, back in 2010, there were almost no truly rustic barns available to hire for weddings, but since then the demand for barn weddings has understandably exploded, as they offer a more rustic and relaxed alternative to the traditional wedding celebration settings.

 

Paul and Paula set about renovating the barn from an open-sided grain store and stables, to the beautiful venue you see today. Over the years there have been small additions and changes made to the barn, but Paul and Paula have always been extremely careful to preserve the charm and character of the original barn, whilst creating all the facilities required to make weddings in The Barn absolutely perfect.

 

Not only does The Barn offer a wonderful and relaxed setting for wedding celebrations, but it also has the added benefit of overlooking the stunning Devon coastline, which along with the seven acres of beautiful land, nearby beach and incredible sunsets, all makes The Barn at South Milton a truly unique wedding celebration venue!

 

Paul and Paula are passionate about their business, and treat every single wedding as if one of their own family were getting married. From the moment couples first view The Barn, Paul is there to show them around and give them all the information they require. If couples book The Barn for their wedding, Paula is constantly available to give any help and advice necessary. Couples meet with Paul and Paula to discuss their wedding plans as and when they need during their wedding planning stage. Over the years The Barn has hosted weddings for couples living all over the world, and therefore they are accustomed to planning weddings over a long distance. If face to face meetings are not possible, then Paula and Paula are always available for telephone or skype calls.

 

There is a 'Frequently Asked Questions' document available to all couples, which covers just about every question ever asked! Along with lists of lovely local suppliers which have worked at The Barn before. Because Paul and Paula have been hosting weddings at The Barn for many years, they have a wealth of knowledge to help you plan your special day, and make sure not even the tiniest detail is forgotten. Paul and Paula, along with their team, manage every wedding day, so that you can relax and enjoy your day, whilst being safe in the knowledge that you're in good hands!

We absolutely adore living and working here at The Barn! From meeting all our wonderful couples, and helping them with one of the most important days in their lives, to sharing our stunningly beautiful barn and views over the sea with all the fabulous guests who visit us each year. We really are so very lucky to be here! It's the most demanding, but rewarding job we have ever done, and we wouldn't change it for a thing!
